Xenon Tapered Leaders 50/50

Made from the same advanced copolymer as our standard clear and orange Xenon Tapered Leaders, the 50/50 combines a half clear and half orange tapered leader. The orange section of the leader is tied to the reel’s main line, while the clear section goes to the rig. The Xenon 50/50 Tapered shock leader is ideal for anglers who want the reassurance of the orange colour so they know the leader is coming out of the water, but still want the stealth of clear monofilament attached to the rig. This type of leader is particularly useful when fishing in clear, shallow water where an orange leader might spook wary fish. Like our standard tapered leaders, the thick end runs towards the butt of the hooklength system with a gradual taper towards where the reel’s main line is tied, creating neat, compact knots that slide easily through the rod guides. This improves casting efficiency and helps the knots slide through the smaller guides of continental surfcasting rods.
