SPIRULINA

Spirulina is a blue-green microalgae that is unique in that it contains all of the essential and most of the non-essential amino acids. With approximately 70% vegetable protein, very low oil and fat content, and an impressive array of digestive enzymes, spirulina is a valuable ingredient in fish food. It is also rich in the antioxidant beta-carotene, which helps protect fish from disease and biological change. Although spirulina may not have an immediate appeal, it does offer long-lasting benefits.
