Lead Clip

Our original Lead Clip was designed to release your lead in situations where it was necessary, such as when you got snagged on a snag or a fish was swimming through thick weed. However, the lead doesn't release as easily as with our Quick Release Lead Clip, preventing unnecessary lead dumping, but only when absolutely necessary for the safety of a fish. The plastic arm is strong enough to handle even the hardest casts with a heavy lead without fear of breaking. The back of the Lead Clip's housing has grooves that ensure the tail rubber stays in place and only releases when necessary. By pushing the tail rubber further or further back onto the housing, you can adjust how easily the lead releases. To ensure easy lead release, ensure the Lead Clip doesn't run freely on the line. The clip is designed so that a size 8 swivel fits snugly into the nose and stays in place. This is a very safe semi-fixed setup, and when used correctly, it ensures the fish can always shake your lead, even if your mainline breaks. The Lead Clips are available in various colors—Clay, Weed, Silt, and Gravel—in packs of ten.
